Ernest Health, a leading operator, is working with Medistar to build the first freestanding Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital in San Joaquin County, California. With a population of over 750,000, the new facility will be a welcome addition to the healthcare community in the area.

The hospital will be located in the University Park master-planned healthcare and education campus and is situated across the street from Dignity Health’s St. Joseph’s Medical Center. The 63,000-square-foot building will provide 50 beds for inpatient care, along with comprehensive outpatient programs and dialysis services.

The Stockton Regional Rehabilitation Hospital was delivered in the first quarter of 2023 and was designed by the Davis Stokes Collaborative, based in Nashville, and built by Layton Construction.
